It breaks my heart to try and listen to my daughter struggle to get the words out. Her voice is very hoarse now. She doesn’t understand that she can’t strain her voice.
Yesterday she a had a few fits but isn’t that what 2 year olds do? She doesn’t understand that crying will weaken her voice. So she cries and cries. I mean I can’t not make her follow the rules because then she will be a terror right? So I either deal with her crying and no voice or I give into her all the time and have a child that has no boundaries. I’ll take the first choice. I mean she does pretty much get what she wants as it is. It’s so hard to deny her sweet little face and soft spoken voice. So every once in a while when she is doing something like throwing food I tell her she must stop then it just gets crazy from there.
She has another surgery scheduled for this month. Her voice usually shows major improvement once the tumors are removed.
